The teenage twins behaved themselves as they waited, left alone with the weird new guy they’ve just barely met. Their eyes staring at him, Iver can feel the judgment in their gaze, like a pair of vultures sizing up a dying animal. Despite this, the adult was trying to be nice, so he offered a warm smile.

All he can see is his friend in their little faces, unable to help a light chuckle as he commented on their features. “You look like little Achirus.” His tone is a mix of friendly and cooing.

The female twin straightened up at his words, appearing the opposite of friendly. She was less than enthused that he is around them. She didn’t trust him and didn’t like him.

“And you look like a bum.” The girl shot back, making the adult wince a little at the harsh words. That is a little too close for home.. Ouch.

“Come on, I’m not a bum.” He defended himself, but he felt embarrassed. Can this one see through him? Maybe Achiru had told the kids some things about him? “What are your names anyways?” He changed the subject with a soreness in his tone.

Luna huffed, giving him attitude as she crossed her arms, she didn’t seem like she wanted to introduce themselves. “How about you give us yours and we’ll give you ours. For all we know, you can just be some weird pervert.” Her tone shifted to an accusatory one as she pointed a digit his way to drive it home.

“I’m not a pervert!! Jeez, don’t say that aloud!!” The adult hissed quickly, no longer smiling.

Iver felt the embarrassment and dread rise in him when a passing guard gave him a stern scowl at the accusations. The warrior shrunk and gave a nervous smile. Unable to help himself as he gave out a trembling little laugh. The guard didn’t say anything, just kept walking. His eye remained fixed on Iver even as he carried on.

“The name’s Iveron, but you can just call me Iver. I’m your dad’s friend.” Iver once again tried to be friendly. Not wanting any bad blood between him and the teens, he struck a thumb against his own armored chest as he introduced himself.

The girl raised a brow at the name, “Lame name. My name is Luna’fey, only friends can call me Luna, but I don’t know you so don’t call me that.”

She looked over her shoulder to her brother who remained silent and behind her. The teenage boy was watching Iver with mild curiosity, unable to help the light smile on his face from the interactions. He found amusement in the way his sister picked on Iver.

“My brother’s Rowan. He’s shy and doesn’t talk much, you keep your weird pervy hands away from him.”

Iver jerked back at the accusation thrown at him. Why does she keep calling him that?! He wanted to scream, but he kept himself in check. Becoming frustrated, it can be seen in his rigid posture.

“I told you I’m not a perv!” He argued with the kid, acting rather childish in the process.

“Whatever ‘Iver’, but I have my eyes on you.” Luna made a hand gesture that signaled her eyes will be on him.

Iver didn’t know how to feel about that! He felt insulted that this brat has the gall to be a jerk to him! He was being bullied by a teen!! He crossed his arms in front of his chest, that chipper mood he was originally in now deflated.
